6.Why the link with a Theatre?
As you may have read elsewhere on the site, the studios will be based in buildings attached to the Queen’s Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent. This partnership with the Theatre gives us fantastic facilities to host concerts, exhibitions, fundraising events etc. and the close proximity makes broadcasting lives feeds or recording sessions with artists/bands relatively straight forward. Having such a media centre linked to a live venue will be a real asset as no such venue exists in the area. The facility could even be rented out to other broadcasters in the region.
