Our Project Plan
The various points below outline the different stages in our plan. They will happen broadly in the order listed although some of them may run in parallel.
1. Studio Build Phase One
Our initial goal is to complete the construction and fit out of our first studio so that it is operational for training and promotional purposes. Construction is already underway and various items of equipment have been purchased ready for installation.
2. Sample Programmes/Commence Publicity Marketing
To give people an idea of the sound of the station we’ll shortly be posting sample audio to give people an idea of what the stations will sound like. At this point we will also step up our programme of publicity and marketing to increase awareness of the project.
3. Start Internet Streaming
Once we have our studios built we’ll begin broadcasting on the internet. Through this our audience will begin to build people will get a taste of what the final station output might sound like.
4. Studio Build Phase Two
The next stage in our studio build is to get facilities for production and pre-recording up and running.
5. Local Test Broadcasts
We’ll also be testing our programming ideas by trying them out on a local level. This may be through temporary 28 day FM broadcasts, a full-time DAB transmission or a combination of both. The local broadcasts are likely to be in the area of Stoke-on-Trent where the station will be based.
6. Studio Build Phase Three
Our final stage of studio building will bring facilities for a news team and complete our production facilities.
7. Launch on a National Digital Platform
The final stage of the plan is to launch as a national station on DAB/DRM.
